Our chocolate is made from cacao beans we grow on our farm — located in the small, agricultural town of Hana, Maui — where we practice regenerative farming.
Our farm is a stone’s throw from the Pi’ilani Heiau, the largest temple ruins in Hawaii, a sacred place. Chocolate made from beans grown in Hana, Maui has a very distinctive taste, much the way “terroir” influences wine made from grapes grown in different regions. In our opinion, East Maui cacao beans make the champagne of chocolate. You cannot get chocolate like this anywhere else in the world.
After harvesting, fermenting, sun drying, and roasting, we make our chocolate in true craft style, by hand, to achieve the unique flavor and smooth mouth feel of Haloa chocolate. If you are a chocolate lover, our dark chocolate is for you!
All of our chocolate is 85% cacao (unless specified).
* Monk Fruit and 100% Cacao flavors contain NO SUGAR.
